The Ten Commandments For Dog Owners

1.  My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be very painful.
2.  Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3.  Place your trust in me - it is crucial for my well being.
4.  Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up for punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment. I have only you!
5.  Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice.
6.  Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.
7.  Before you hit me, remember that I have teeth that could easily crush the bones in your hand, but I choose not to bite you.
8.  Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I've been in the sun too long, or my heart may be getting old and weak.
9.  Take care of me when I get old. You, too, will grow old.
10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it" or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there.

Remember, I love you.

Emma is often described as the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead..."when she is good she is very, very good and when she is bad she is horrid".

A showing dynamo (most of the time) her overall quality and ring presence has afforded her many big wins, including multi ALL BREEDS CHAMPIONSHIP, BEST IN SHOW and BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW at the last ROYAL HOBART SHOW for the millennium in 1999 under respected all rounder Judge - Michelle Billings (USA).

Emma is another very fine offspring of "VLANDYN STAR TREK".
She continued her winning ways having won back-to-back shows under respected breed Judges - PAM and RAY CARPENTAR from Queensland.

Emma was invited to the CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS in 2006 which she subsequently WON under Judges - JOHN THOMPSON, RODGER BRIDGFORD and HUGH GENT.

Thank you all so very much for this FINAL ACCOLADE and honour bestowed on this extremely fine girl.

The ANNOUNCEMENT was made after the presentation that “OUR EMMA” was ‘NOW RETIRED’.

Emma was almost unbeatable in the show ring and had nothing else to prove or achieve as far as we were concerned, she was a pleasure for her handlers and on lookers and now sits on her laurels with her Dad.
She lets us know that she still wants to join in for preparation of the dogs on bath day prior to a show.

Many, many people will miss not seeing her gliding around the Show ring as will all of us here at Anbenly.

Thank you to Lyn Wood for entrusting this unbelievable girl to us.

“A GREAT BIG THANK YOU EMMA FOR EVERYTHING”.
